Marudhar Premier League

Marudhar Premier League (MPL), a limited over cricket tournament started in the year 2013 with a basic thought of attaching the youths to the main stream of the organization and bringing them together under one roof with the thought of knowing each other, develop feeling of brotherhood and could help them to progress in their professional life. Shri Bharat Kumar Dugar along with his team took the initiative of this thought and had put lots of efforts for organizing the first tournament. He also gave his commitment to the organization of being the tournament sponsorer for the first three years.

MPL comprises of six teams divided as per geographical map of Mumbai city. The teams are Marudhar Warriors (Cuffe Parade to Bandra/Matunga Road), Marudhar Champs (Khar to Andheri), Marudhar Kings (Jogeshwari to Kandivali-East), Marudhar Eagles (Kandivali-West to Borivali), Marudhar Tigers (Dhaiser to Virar) and Marudhar Royals (Sion to Kalyan and New Mumbai). The first edition of the tournament was held at Lions Club Ground, Santacruz (West), Mumbai were team Marudhar Tigers were the winners and team Marudhar Kings were Runners-up. The Second edition was held this year at Goregaon Sports Club Ground, Goregaon (West), Mumbai. Team Marudhar Champs emerged as champions this year and team Marudhar Kings were again at the Runners-up position.
