Marudhar Mitra Parishad, a social organization which was established in the year 1996 with its main objective to encourage the feeling of organization, unity and brotherhood among the community and in general and especially among the members of the society by organizing Holi and Diwali Get-together programs. The organization was started with a formal name of Thali Pradesh Terapanth Sangh which later in the year 1997 was changed to Marudhar Mitra Parishad. The inspiration for the same was provided by Sadhvi Shri Sohanaji (Chhapar - Rajasthan, India), learned student of then Acharaya Shri Tulsi of Terapanth Dharam Sangh, a religious sect under Shwetamber Jain Community.
Many member of the organization contributed their time, thoughts and efforts during the establishment stage of the organization. Late Shri Pannalal Surana, Late Shri Sanskaran Baid, Late Shri Suresh Barmecha, Late Shri Narendra Chhajer, Shri Sumatichand Gouti, Shri Balchand Daga, Shri Manakchand Parakh, Shri Hulaschand Choraria, Shri Bhanukumar Nahata, Shri Madanchand Dugar, Shri Bachhraj Dugar, Shri Bhanwerlal Dugar, Shri Kharag Dudheria, Shri Bimal Surana, Shri Shreechand Lunia, Shri Ranjeet Borar, Shri Mangilal Chhajer and Kuldeep Baid cannot be forgotten for their special efforts and contribution during the establishing stage of the organization.
The organization gained its momentum in the year 2006-2007 under the President-ship of Bhanukumar Nahata and Mangilal Chhajer as Secretary. Their efforts resulted in adding more members in the organization. They promoted the basic theme of the organization, arranged greater and beautiful cultural program where all the members gathered under one roof to know each other and developed a feeling of brotherhood between them. A new chapter was added in the year 2008 under the President-ship of Madanchand Dugar of developing social and religious sacraments in the upcoming generation by the way of Sanskar Chetna Yatra, distributing biscuits, chocolates, drinking water and providing medical help to the people during the festival of Ganesh Visarjan and other social get together and festivals. Blood Donation and Health Check-up Camps, Picnics, etc were also organized. The organization came in full swing from the year 2010 under the President-ship of Hulaschand Choraria as President and Kuldeep Baid as General Secretary. During their tenure of 4 years, organization achieved new heights. The programs started by past presidents continued with new thoughts. New chapters were added such as providing medical help to needy persons, felicitating persons who have contributed for the betterment of the society and organization. In order to attach the youths to the main stream of the organization, a cricket tournament was started in 2013 which was a grand success. With the thought of Community service, the Organization also made an attempt of organizing a complete body check-up program at nominal rates in association with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. This program was appreciated by the complete society and as many as more than 900 families were benefited by this program.
Currently under the aggressive leadership of Shri Shantilal Barmecha as president and Shri Abhay Dudhoria, a new direction has been given to the organization with the process of decentralization of responsibilities and power by setting up of Medical Forum, Education Forum, Cultural Forum and Sports Forum. This has resulted in start-up of activities such as seminars for career guidance for emerging youths and entrepreneurs, Medical and Educational help at minimal approval time, different sports activities under the banner of the organization. Shri Shantilal Barmecha along with his current team is working on the youths of the organization who can be on the front line in participation of all the future programs of the organization and last but not the least, an establishment of a Women cell is also under process which can lead to further growth of the organization.
The organization has been and is working on its objectives which are as under:
- To organize seminars, conferences, exhibitions, for encouragements of Education, culture, environment, spiritual consciousness, public welfare literatures, arts, health defense, eradication of blind faith, biology invention, character building, awakening of human values and to co-operate to encourage all these activities.
- To encourage the feeling of organization, unity and brotherhood among the public in general and specially among the members and their families.
- To serve, provide medical relief and rehabilitate the people adversely affected by human or natural clematis and to the specific peoples unselfishly engaged in awakening of morality.
- To spread and establish human values among the societies without any difference of cast, creed and religion in accordance with the provisions of Laws.
